KenCall CEO, Nicholas Nesbitt represented KenCall at the Launch of the second edition of the Kenya Maize Handbook at the Holiday Inn, Nairobi Kenya.
The prestigious event, hosted by Agriculture Corporate Development International and Volunteers Overseas Corporate Assistance (ACDI/VOCA) had various important guests including his Excellency Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka, Minister for Agriculture, Dr. Sally Kosgei, the Deputy Chief of Mission, US Embassy in Kenya amongst others. The event was also aired on local television stations.
The handbook is authored by Agriculture Corporate Development International and Volunteers Overseas Corporate Assistance (ACDI/VOCA) and managed by Kenya Maize Development Programme (KMDP) through funding from USAID who also published and distributes it. It showcased various products from different partnering companies amongst them being ‘The Kenya Farmer Helpline – Huduma Kwa Wakulima.’
Nicholas Nesbitt, CEO of KenCall is in the United Kingdom attending and representing KenCall at the 10th Annual European Shared Services and Outsourcing week held at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre, Scotland. The conference runs from the 24th to the 27th of May 2010 and tackles the various objectives and aspects of outsourcing and shared services. The conference shall be attended by some of the largest companies across our key verticals. During his trip to the UK, he shall also be meeting previous contacts to finalize on business partnerships and at the same time meet with new contacts to create awareness about outsourcing in Africa and promoting KenCall.
KenCall was represented at the Rockefeller Foundation Africa Grantee Convening held at the Holiday Inn in Nairobi, Kenya. The conference entailed various initiatives that the foundation is executing some being, Developing Climate Change Resilience, Linking Global Disease Surveillance Networks, Transforming Health Systems, Advancing Innovation Processes to Solve Social Problems, Harnessing the Power of Impact Investing, Strengthening Food Security and Promoting Equitable Sustainable Transportation. KenCall took part in the Grantee Market showcasing the Kenya Farmer Helpline – Huduma Kwa Wakulima as an innovative solution to impacting food security and increasing small scale farming sustainability through GSM.
