As we extend our core capabilities through forging new partnerships and developing existing relationships further, Nicholas Nesbitt, CEO and founder of KenCall EPZ Ltd will be in the United States representing KenCall in various states for two weeks. He will be visiting Boston, Denver and San Francisco meeting with various key decision makers, media organizations, and universities.
Wednesday 10th February 2010 saw KenCall host senior officials from Singapore – IDA an equivalent of our Kenya ICT Board and officials from the Kenya ICT Board as well. Infocomm Development Authority (IDA) of Singapore is a government body that seeks to serve its citizens and to cultivate a vibrant and competitive infocomm industry in Singapore – one that attracts foreign investment. The visitors comprised of the IDA Director, Yip Yuen Fong, Deputy Director, Serene Ho, Kenya ICT Board CEO, Paul Kukubo amongst others.
Their main aim of the visit was to explore various opportunities between Singapore, KenCall and/or Kenya as an outsourcing destination in East Africa. The visit started with a short tour of the call centre, and thereafter a presentation by KenCall’s CEO and founder, Nicholas Nesbitt. Subsequently, in the open discussion Paul Kukubo, CEO of the KICT board noted: “The KICT board and the government have started an e-government initiative and it has already kicked off with some government bodies namely the Judiciary, Company Registry amongst others already digitizing records.”
The visit ended with some closing remarks and Serene Ho commended KenCall for its great effort in putting Kenya on the Outsourcing map globally. She adds: “I am very impressed with the effort that KenCall has put in the last four – five years of being in the Business Process Outsourcing and Contact centre industry. Your immense effort will continuously put you at the top of the industry in Kenya and East Africa.”
| Wednesday 27th of January was an incredible day for KenCall as the Vice President of Tanzania Dr. Ali Mohamed Shein toured our offices. He was accompanied by Samuel Poghisio, the Minister of Information and Communication, Kenya and other officials from Kenya and Tanzania. They were given a tour of the call center by Eric Nesbitt, Chief Operations Officer as he explained the various services the call centre offers. |
